Good news!

We've worked with the IT department to start using Room 103 in Building 6 at the Fort Omaha campus as a Macintosh lab again!

Starting Winter 2013 quarter (13/WI), open lab hours are being offered for students within Visual Arts (DIMA, ARTS, etc) if they need computer time outside of class to work on class projects. There will be a lab assistant on duty during open lab hours. IT staff will ensure that technology (computers, applications and some printers) are functioning optimally.

Open Lab Hours in FOC 6-103 for 13/WI

Tues – 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Thurs – 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Saturday – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
(no Lab hours during holiday break)

Important Info:

Sign-In Sheet: Students must use the Sign In Sheet in 6-103.

If there is a class in room 102 during Lab hours, that class has priority access.
For Winter, there are no classes in 102 at the same time as lab hours, but students should know that on occasion, the lab might be in use by a class. If it's not full, Visual Arts students are welcome to use the Lab. In future quarters, if Lab hours must happen while there's a class in 6-102, we'll make sure it's an ARTS class that doesn't use the Lab that often.

The iMacs in the FOC Academic Resource Center are still there, in case students need computer time outside of the schedule for 6-103 Lab hours (or if a class from 6-102 is using all the iMacs in the 6-103 Lab).

Software / Hardware in 6-103:
Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Design and Web Premium edition)
Corel Painter
Wacom Intuos tablets (only on 4 computers) - will be in there by December 6

HP laserjet color laser printer
Epson Stylus 1440 ink jet printer (for DIMA portfolio classes only)
HP black and white laser printer
Scanner

Lab Policies
Since this is now a computer lab, all computer lab policies (EVC 416, for example) would apply.
